Volunteer Opportunities

We couldn't run our fair without the help of the wonderful volunteers from our community.

We have many different roles available for volunteers, whether you are available for as little as an hour on fair day or as often as multiple times per month throughout the year.

Many hands make light work!

Pre-fair Set Up:

• Exhibit hall assistance

• Outdoor set up - tents, signs etc 

•  Picnic table pickup and setup

•  Horse corral set up

Fair Days Saturday/Sunday:

• Games and competitions - people to lead a game or competition, or take score. 

• Gate entry sales

• Pie and coffee sales

• Master of ceremony/announcing events and winners over loudspeaker 

• Exhibit hall watch

Changes between Saturday/Sunday both indoors and outdoors. (Moving tables, signs, fencing, seating etc)

• Horse show registration

• Barbecue food prep and sales

• Horse corral take down

• Pancake breakfast kitchen help

• Post fair clean up/tear down

Other Events Throughout The Year:

• Weekly Bingo - canteen and runners (Volunteers are not required to be there every single week)

• Fundraiser Dinners - cooking and food preparation, dinner set up and clean up, door sales. 

• Craft Markets - canteen sales and food preparation.

• Annual Prize Giving Dinner - dinner set up and clean up, cooking and food preparation.
