1. The teams must be on the grounds by 9am to register.
2. All teams must complete an obstacle course prior to the pull to qualify for full participation.
3. The course shall be 150ft (46 mt) long with side lines 20 ft (6 mt) apart.
4. To qualify, a draw of at least 20 ft is to be completed and horses must stay within the sidelines.
5. When a team is the last team to successfully pull the stone boat they must return for another pull with at least one more block added.
6. Teams will be allowed 3 attempts to qualify.
7. Both heavy and light classes may be run concurrently, at the discretion of the judge.

A) All draws are to be taken in order. Pass ups will be allowed after the first 3 draws are successfully completed (only two consecutive pass-ups are allowed).
B) The first 4 draw weights will be increased by one block each time, after that the weight will increase by at least 2 blocks each time.
9. Ten minutes will be allowed to repair broken harness or equipment which has occurred during a draw, before calling on the next team.
11. Contestants will draw numbers for their position or order prior to the commencement of the competition.
12. Officials and contestants only are allowed within the course area during the draw.
13. Three minutes will be allowed for the teamster to hitch their team from the moment the team enters the draw area during a draw.

A) The teamster and 2 assistants only will be allowed in the draw area.
B) The teamster must have someone to help hook.
15.
A) While their team is hitched to the stone boat: Neither teamster nor any assistant will be permitted to be alongside or ahead of the team.
B) Assistants are not permitted to talk to the horses.
16. Any forward movement of the stone boat will be considered a draw.
17. Slashing the Team with lines, use of prods, tasers or any electronic stimulating devise is strictly prohibited, as is the use of profane language during a draw.
18. A horse may only be the member of one team.
19. To determine classes, a weight slip is not necessary. A light team’s combined girth must be 165’’ or less. 166’’ or more will be entered as a heavy team.
20. The property is an alcohol and smoke free zone.
21. Horses or driver may be disqualified at any time by the judge, either for the violation of one or more of the rules, or because the contesting team’s condition is such as to render it cruel or inadvisable to permit the horses to proceed.
22. In the case of a tie, the boat will be pulled back to the starting line and each team will make one pull on the tying load, with the furthest distance taking the higher placing.
23. The judge’s decision is final.
24. During the competition, attempting to or talking to the judge may result in disqualification at the judge’s discretion.
25. Any dispute of the rules or the operation of the competition are to be discussed with the committee prior to the commencement of the competition.
