Vegetables & Fruits will be judged according to Agriculture & Horticulture Judging Standards for Ontario Fairs. Prepared and Printed by the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies.
1. Exhibitors are only to submit only the number specified. Roots/Vegetables/Fruits are to be displayed on disposable plates.
Uniformity: all exhibits should be the same size and shape.
Maturity: the overall quality of the exhibit is determined by the freshness.
Freedom from blemishes or bruises due to insects, disease, spray or mechanical damage.
True to Type: all exhibits show characteristics of their true type and colour appropriate to their class.
Showmanship: quality of exhibit, freshness, size, freedom from damage and colour appropriate to their class. Presentation is very important.

Tip: Sunflowers sign that it is ready to harvest. Seeds look plump and somewhat loose. Seed coats can be fully black or black and white striped. Petals have died down and the flower will droop towards the ground, and the foliage is yellow.
