Handicrafts will be judged according to the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Homecraft Judging Standards Handbook Prepared and Printed by the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies.
1. Articles are to be hand crafted with new material unless otherwise stated.
2. All crafts should be new and this year’s work. No work shall be entered for more than 1 year. 3. Items must be clean and odour free (food & smoke) 4. No kits unless specified.
5. Entry tags to be securely attached to exhibits. 6. All items are to be Christmas related
Prize Money for Classes: 1st- $5.00, 2nd - $4.00, 3rd - $3.00
General Appearance - neat, clean, free for musty or smoke smell, design, outstanding colour, and accurate dimensions (both sides, same length.)
Creative Design - show creativity and individuality, appealing.
Functional suited to use of item, material choice suited to use of item.
Workmanship - show knowledge and understanding of materials and methods used. Work finished appropriately and ready to use, neatness of construction, stability, suitability of material used.
Cards - neatness, clean, creativity and artistic work.
Originality and use of colour.
Trimming, if used, should be appropriate for the card and neatly applied to the appropriate size envelope with each card.
